Converts the field value to its double-precision floating-point equivalent. A returned value indicates whether the operation succeeded.

Parameters

When this method returns, contains the double-precision floating-point number equivalent to the field value, if the conversion succeeded, or Double.NaN if the conversion failed. The conversion fails if the field value is absent, is not of the correct format, or represents a number less than MinValue or greater than MaxValue. This parameter is passed uninitialized.
